The local chapter of the American Association of University Women has named Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center Director Brenda Abney their “Woman of the Year.”

The 2007 documentary “King Corn” will be screened at 7 p.m. Nov. 17 at the Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center, 127 S. Mission, Wenatchee.

Brenda Abney, director of the Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center, accepted the Washington Art Education Association’s 2009 Distinguished Service Award in Tacoma on Oct. 9.
