It’s the season for giving and the East Wenatchee Rotary Club is in the mood to play Santa Claus to school libraries in Douglas County by donating books and time.

Drop Dead Fabulous raises money for NCW Rural Health Foundation

Laura Herrera, owner of downtown boutique Drop Dead Fabulous at 100 N. Wenatchee Ave., Wenatchee, used bras and a basketball hoop to raise breast cancer awareness and raise money for the NCW Rural Health Foundation.

Campbell’s Resort’s donations during October’s breast cancer awareness month have netted $1,000 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, the global leader in the fight against breast cancer.
In addition to many employee contributions, the Lake Chelan resort donated 10 percent of their guest room receipts from the Think Pink promotion that ran the month of October.
