Merchant Patrol Security expands to Tri Cities

Wenatchee-based Merchant Patrol Security (MPS), provider of security guards and mobile security patrol, has opened an office in the Tri-Cities.
The office, at 514 E. First Ave. in Kennewick, is the second location for MPS, which has operated continuously since 1923 in north Central Washington from a base in Wenatchee.

The state Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) is looking for a variety of volunteers to help evaluate grant proposals for new parks and trails and for the best wildlife lands and farmlands to preserve.

No increase to Washington’s minimum wage in 2010

Washington’s minimum wage will not increase in 2010 but will remain the same at $8.55 an hour because the Consumer Price Index for the past 12 months did not increase.

Training in craft distilling now available

Big Bend Community College’s Center for Business and Industry Services is providing craft distilling training, in co-operation with Qualls Agricultural Laboratory, a licensed distilled spirits producer.

Lake Chelan likely to be higher in October
